Nida Yasir is a well know actress and morning show host. Nida Yasir has been hosting the morning show “Good Morning Pakistan” on “ARY” since long time.
Her program is considered as infotainment, where she calls the celebrities’, designers cooking experts and make up artists.
The morning show ensures its viewers to to energetic start of a cheerful day to follow.But she often offends her viewers by asking odd questions to them.
A week ago when she called up little Marwah’s parents, who was murdered brutally after being raped in Karachi.
Marwah was only five years old. She went out of home and didn’t returned home. Later she was found dead in a nearby empty plot.
Nida Yasir as per one of senior host should have maintained the the value of the morning show, but Nida asked them many quaint questions, like how did you feel when you came to know about it, how did you find her? What you did when you heard Marwah yelling and crying and much more awkward questions as she used to ask sort of questions to her guests.
She also had invited many other guests like Fariha Altaaf, activist of the locality Mr Sarim Barni and Nazir shah.

Viewers reaction
Her viewers didn’t like the way she ripped their prestige.
The viewers really bashed her, and did not like her act, and called it game of T.R.P.

Audience badly trolled her on social media that she should not have asked a father how five years old daughter was raped, or asking a mother did she feel on burning her daughter till death. Such a senior morning show host should have this attitude?
It was not a way be sympathetic to the victims parents, if she really wanted to help them out, she could have many other ways too.

Audience asked her to stop the morning show. They remarked that she should not use these cheap publicity stunts and should get trained how to run a public show. Also the people said to ban the show.
Reaction Of Other Celebrities’
Many other celebrities’ also gave their remarks over her show. “Anousheh Ashraf” stands by Nida Yasir and stated that, We have to educate the poor somehow.
I feel this must be her honest attempt at shedding light on child’s sexual abuse and giving the girls parents a genuine platform to share their horror, She added
Adding to her tweet she said that we sometimes misjudge the thin line between interviewing victim for mass awareness vs complete exploitation. I hope we all ( hosts) learn the difference as many of us have a continue to be unknowingly hurtful.
While “Waqar Zaka” stood against her and called it cheap rating stunt.

He tagged the channel owner and requested him to change the format of program and host too.
Carelessness of PEMRA
Many Social media users were seem to bash PEMRA also.
They raised questions like what Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority is doing? Why is not PEMRA taking its duty seriously? Why such content is being shown on television?
Dishonoring the guests, baseless content and foolish acts are the only things to be shown?
Higher authorities should have taken legal act and should maintain the focus on the content to be shown on television.
Apology By Nida Yasir
After a lot of hater, negativity she apologized her viewers and Marwah’s parents too.
More she said that “she didn’t organize that show for T.R.Ps, but to help them out.
She claimed that Marwah’s parents themselves asked her to be invited in show with source of a well known Trust “Sarim Barni”, as their F.I,R was not being registered, so they needed media coverage.
She added that her show runs on entrainment and not any any sad incident can bring ratings or T.R.Ps.
She added to her remarks that Mr. Sarim Barni told me about Marwah’s parents I left all the things behind and tried to give coverage to their issue, and it succeeded and after two days of the show the culprits were behind the bar.
She also said that she will be careful next time to talk about the sensitive issues.
Hopefully the incident culprits catch would provide some relief to Marwah’s parents.
