Lahore: Inspector General Punjab Police claims that a big development has been made In Motorway Rape Case.
While talking to a Geo News program “Geo Pakistan” recently appointed IG Punjab Inam Ghani told the anchors that,
we have made big developments in a rape case incident happened at motorway.
He said, we have reached the belonging village of the culprits and soon they would be behind the bars.
IG Punjab told that overall 20 teams are working on this case and DIG himself is monitoring the investigation process.
He told that statement of victimized women have been recorded and she gave important hints about age and appearance of accused persons.
IG Punjab briefed that “NADRA and voter lists data of the area have been analyzed, we are looking for people resembling age bracket of criminals.
We have found 70 people with the criminal record and Geo Fenced them and now waiting for the report”.
He added that its our responsibility to investigate any unhappy incident near motorway and its our top priority to reach the criminals and rapists of the said incident.
Ghani added that children of the victim were forced to witness this incident.
Police is trying to arrest the suspects so that family could bear a mental relief.

What Actually Happened
on Tuesday night a mother of two children was gang raped by robbers on motorway in Gujjarpura jurisdiction.
According to Police sources women was driving along with her 2 children to Gujranwala from Lahore in her car.
Car ran out of Fuel and was forced to stop at 1:30 AM at midnight.

She immediately contacted at the Motorway police helpline (130) but was not responded back.
she stayed in her car while locking car doors for safety precautions waiting for Motorway police response.
Meanwhile two of the robbers reached there and broke the car window and forced the family to go to a nearby forest.
They repeatedly gang raped the victim in front of her children and snatched the cash amount of 1 Lac including the jewelry and other precious items including 3 ATM cards.
Gujranwala police has lodged a complain against the suspects and has arrested 12 suspects till now.
Police is leading the investigation in a fast way claiming that they have found a major evidence as it will help to catch them soon.
While Motorway Chief Kaleem Imam regretted the incident and told the media that the incident didn’t occurred in their limits.

People are demanding actions against brutal gang rape of a women in front of her children.
Many of them are demanding public execution of the rapists using different hashtags.
Most of them are criticizing the government ministers including Minister of Human Rights Shireen Mazari and Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry.
They opposed the national bill presented by Muhammad Ali days ago, which was passed from National Assembly but rejected from senate calling it against the human rights.
